Rescate Auxiliary
It's your life, join Rescate!
The Auxiliary is the fund-raising arm of Rescate. Volunteers donate their time to organize fun events for the local community. The events include the very popular Margarita/Welcome Back party in November, the Christmas Boutique in early December, the Grand Bazaar in February, the Theatrical Event in March, and the Fishing Tournament in June. Other special events are scheduled as appropriate.
The Auxiliary also operates the Rescate Treasures thrift store, open 2-3 days per week (Thursday – Saturday) at the clinic location. There is a Marketplace in the parking lot at Rescate every Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm December through April. The Marketplace features discounted items from the thrift store and many other exciting vendors and artists.
Are You looking for a Fun Volunteer Opportunity?
The Rescate Auxiliary has a terrific, hardworking, fun loving team of volunteers that works enthusiastically on annual fundraisers to provide significant funds for the support of the daily operation of our first aid facility, ambulances & first responders, Rescate de San Carlos.
The auxiliary is always eager to welcome new volunteers. If you are looking to spend some quality time working with a great team to help support this wonderful and necessary community service, Rescate Auxiliary might be just the place for you.
If interested, or for more information, please contact:
Melissa Nicoletti, Auxiliary President, at moosey.nicoletti@gmail.com.
The San Carlos Community Directory is published by the Auxiliary every three or four years and is available for 300 pesos at the thrift store and all events. First aid kits are also available for 400 pesos.
New this year is the Vial of Life, a small plastic bottle which contains your emergency contact and medical alert information. If you keep your up-to-date Vial of Life in the butter keeper in your refrigerator, the Rescate EMTs will look for it there and will have all the critical information they need in the case of a medical emergency. Best of all, the Vial of Life is free! You can pick one up at most fundraising events and at the Marketplace on Saturdays.
Auxiliary meetings are held twice each month, on the first and third Monday of the month at 9 am, from October through April. These meetings are announced via the local media including What's Up San Carlos and the local bulletin boards. Meetings are always open and everyone is welcome!
